Vietnam confirmed that relations with Algeria are witnessing significant progress in various fields, of endeavor especially trade and investment, highlighting its aspiration to enhance bilateral cooperation to include other fields in a way that serves common interests.

The President of the Vietnamese Federation of Friendship Organizations, Van Anh Son, explained, according to what was reported by the “Vietnam Plus” website, on Monday, while honoring the Ambassador of Algeria to Vietnam, His Excellency Mr. Abdelhamdi Boubazine, with the message “For Peace and Friendship between Nations,” for his contributions to cooperation and friendship between the two peoples, The relationship between the two countries has flourished during the recent period and witnessed a new phase of cooperation.

The same official added that the two countries are witnessing a development in relations through the effective implementation of bilateral cooperation mechanisms, as well as significant progress in the field of trade and investment relations.

Mr. Van Son praised the Algerian diplomat’s contributions to strengthening solidarity and people-to-people exchange between the two countries, and his close coordination with friendship organizations, the Vietnamese-Algerian Friendship Association and other agencies in organizing activities to enhance mutual understanding and contribute to strengthening bilateral relations in the fields of economy, culture, education and other fields.

With regard to local cooperation, the President of the Vietnamese Friendship Federation highlighted the ambassador’s role in establishing a twinning relationship between the Vietnamese state of Dien Bien and the Algerian state of Batna, which represents a new development in popular diplomacy between the provinces in particular, and the connection between the two countries in general.

For his part, the Algerian ambassador pledged to continue working to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields of common interest, in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples, highlighting that he seeks to contribute to the development of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
