The Palestinian resistance praised Algeria’s steadfast positions in support of the Palestinian cause in word and deed and the support it provides to the Palestinian people by all means to achieve their freedom and independence, especially through its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council.

Members of the parliamentary delegation to the National Assembly, participating in the fifth conference of the League of Parliamentarians for Jerusalem, spoke on Sunday with the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas”, Mr. Ismail Haniyeh, about the latest developments in the tragic and bloody situation in Palestine, due to the criminal war on Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories. .

The two sides reviewed the conditions on the internal front, which the humanitarian catastrophe had only increased in unity and resolve, and discussed the endeavors and efforts aimed at stopping the genocide, providing relief and protection to the Palestinian people, and strengthening solidarity with their just cause until their entire land is liberated from the clutches of Zionist barbarism, and the establishment of their independent state with its capital is Al-Quds Al-Sharif.

Mr. Haniyeh expressed his respect and appreciation to the Algerian people, parliament and government led by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for its supportive position in word and deed, and supporting by all means the right of the Palestinian people to freedom and independence, especially through its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council.

The head of the parliamentary delegation, Mr. Ahmed Kherchi, praised the heroic steadfastness of the Palestinian people despite the harsh situation and the horror of suffering, stressing that Algeria’s position in support of the unconditional support of the Palestinian people’s right to resist and demand their legitimate rights is an irreversible national duty and commitment.

The parliamentary delegation also expressed the sanctity of the place that Palestine occupies in the conscience of the Algerian people, which is embodied by Algerian diplomacy under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to make the voice of the first central issue of the Arab and Islamic nation heard, and to mobilize the necessary international support in order to push it towards a solution that preserves the Palestinians’ right to land and return.
