English Premier League team Arsenal will host its Portuguese rival, Porto, on Tuesday at nine o’clock in the evening at the Emirates Stadium in the British capital, London, in the second leg of the round of 16 of the European Champions League competition.

The leaders of the English Premier League will try to compensate for their loss in the first leg with an unanswered goal to advance to the quarterfinals.

Arsenal were defeated at the Dragao Stadium in Porto two weeks ago by a fatal goal scored by Brazilian Henderson Galeno in the dying minutes of the confrontation (94th minute).

The Gunners have not reached the quarter-finals of the European Champions League since the era of retired French coach Arsene Wenger, as their last appearance in this round dates back to the 2009/2010 season.

The balance of previous encounters between Arsenal and Porto favors the former, especially at their home stadium, where the Portuguese have failed to beat them in the London capital in their last three encounters in the same European competition.

Last season’s Italian league champions Napoli avoided defeat at home when they hosted five-time Champions League winners Barcelona on February 21.
