The Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues, Ms. Kaouther Krikou, highlighted in Algiers the “prestigious position” that women enjoy within the institutional project of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The Minister said, in her speech during a media day entitled “Algerian Women… Work and Excellence,” organized by the Ministry in coordination with the Algerian Economic Renewal Council and with the contribution of Algeria Telecom, that this meeting represents “a participatory media statement about the work and excellence of Algerian women,” noting that “The prestigious position that women have enjoyed within the institutional project of the President of the Republic is based on his confidence in their scientific and creative qualifications in embodying the noble endeavor of his constructive commitments.”

By the way, the Minister mentioned “the most important gains achieved by Algerian women in the constitution, which enshrined “the principle of gender parity in the labor market, strengthened their position in the field of national development, encouraged their promotion to all positions of responsibility and promoted their political rights,” in addition to protecting them from all forms of violence.

In this regard, she indicated that Algerian women are “determined to continue the construction process,” highlighting “their foray into many fields, in which they demonstrated their ability,” especially in the field of entrepreneurship and many fields, especially those related to development and the economy.

During this meeting, Ms. Krikou announced “the launch of a new edition of the guide for the economic inclusion of women under the title ‘Distinguished’, which constitutes a reference for every creative woman seeking to enter the world of entrepreneurial professionalism.”

For his part, the Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, Omar Rekache, praised “the state’s efforts in the field of economic empowerment of women and consecrating the principle of gender equality in the world of work,” recalling that the reforms approved by the President of the Republic in the investment law “focus in this direction.”

As for the representative of the President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, Nadia Ganibardi, she stressed that the Council “does not differentiate between the sexes” regarding equal opportunities, highlighting the “effective role” that women play in achieving economic development in many fields.

For reference, the meeting witnessed the presentation of recorded speeches by the Ministers of Social Work and Women’s Affairs of Mauritania, Tunisia and Palestine, as well as the Regional Director of the International Labor Organization for Africa, in addition to organizing a dialogue session for women who have distinguished themselves in their fields of specialization.

On this occasion, a documentary was shown about the gains made by Algerian women and the most prominent specializations they have undertaken, after which a sample of brilliant working women were honored.
