Algeria Football Cup: “4 Stadiums To Host Quarter-Finals”

The Organizing Committee of the Algerian Cup Championship at the Football Federation has designated the stadiums of July 5, 1962 in the capital Algiers, May 19, 1956 in Annaba and Miloud Hadefi in Oran, in addition to Martyr Hamlaoui in Constantine, to host the quarterfinals of the Algerian football Cup competition.

These selected stadiums will be equipped with Video Arbitration Technology (VAR), which will be used for the first time in local football competitions, as announced by the Algerian Football Federation at its recent general assembly.

The Algerian Cup competition has reached its final stage, with the draw for the eighth and quarter finals scheduled for Sunday at 22:30.

The Algerian Public Television Corporation will broadcast the event live, as announced by the FAF on its official website.

Eight teams from the professional league have qualified for this round: CR Belouizdad (runners-up in the last edition), USM Algiers, MC Algiers, MC Oran, USM Biskra, CS Constantine, Etoile Ben Aknoun and USM Khenchela.

While Taraji Mostaganem, Nasr Hussein Dey, Olympic Akbou and USM Annaba qualified from the second amateur league championship, JS Azazga, Raed Bouqaa, Jijel Youth and Wydad Tlemcen from the inter-regional championship.

It is expected that the quarterfinals of the Algerian Cup will be held on March 23rd and 30th, where the first clubs to withdraw will benefit from the priority of receiving in their stadiums, for the last time in this season’s edition.

It should be noted that USM Algiers, CR Belouizdad, Mouloudia Algiers and ES Setif hold the record for the most crowns, having won the title eight times.
