Hamas Warns Zionist Occupation Against Harming Al-Aqsa

  • The resistance movement calls for intensifying the presence in Al Aqsa’s courtyards and confronting the vile Zionist plans against it

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) warned against “the consequences of the occupation government and settlers undertaking any action that harms the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque,” calling for “traveling” to it and “intensifying the presence in its courtyards and confronting the Zionist plans against it.”

The Hamas movement said in a statement on Friday, “The Israeli incitement campaigns organized by the groups and organizations of the alleged Zionist temple against Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection and supervision of the extremist Zionist Israeli government are a dangerous escalation.”
The statement warned that the campaign “comes within the Zionist plans aimed at Judaizing Al-Aqsa, obliterating its features and extending the dominance of fascist settlers over it.”
Hamas warned against “the consequences of the occupation government and its settlers undertaking any action that harms the mosque and its Arab-Islamic identity.” It stressed that Al-Aqsa “is the title of the struggle of our people and our Arab and Islamic nations with this occupier.”
The movement called on Arab and Islamic countries, the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to “assume their duties towards the dangers facing Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as the people of Gaza from comprehensive genocide, and to work to deter the occupation and stop the aggression.”
Hamas’ statement came in response to the publication by the extremist Israeli organization “Temple Mount Activists” of a video recording showing the burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock Mosque, accompanied by the comment “soon in these days.”

The extremist Israeli right-wing organization calls for “establishing the Temple in place of Al-Aqsa Mosque,” and is active in calling for extremists to storm the mosque’s courtyards.
Every now and then, ministers in Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, especially National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, storm Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite Islamic, Arab and international criticism.
Last August, Ben-Gvir called for Jews to be allowed to pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque and to build a synagogue in its courtyards. Recent weeks have witnessed a noticeable increase in Israeli extremists performing Talmudic prayers and rituals, dancing and singing in the mosque.
